Please include your iPhone model, iOS version, and what happened. Share a script or video only if you are comfortable doing so.

Write, rehearse, record

Choose New script, or import a UTF-8 .txt file. Write your talking points, then choose Rehearse or Open recording studio. Tap Text & layout for white or black text, text size, scrolling speed, vertical/horizontal placement, reading width, and other settings. Place near camera keeps the bright reading lines close to the lens. In rehearsal, choose Show camera preview to practice framing without recording.

Insert a pause

Place the cursor where you want a breath, then choose Insert pause. You can also type [pause:3] for a three-second hold. Durations from 1 to 60 seconds are supported, including decimals. Pause cues and Hold text stop scrolling while the camera keeps recording.

Keep the camera view clear

During delivery, Glidecue hides the controls and keeps your script over the full camera preview. Tap the script to reveal controls. The small stop button remains available. Keep Camera dimming low for a brighter preview.

Camera or microphone access

Recording needs permission for both. Open iPhone Settings, find Glidecue under Apps, and enable Camera and Microphone. Camera-off rehearsal works without those permissions. A live rehearsal preview needs only Camera access, with no microphone or video recording. The iOS simulator has no front camera.

Save and share a take

Finish recording to save the movie in Recordings. Play it back and choose Share or save video to export it through the iOS share sheet. Export important takes before deleting the app. Backgrounding the app ends the current recording and attempts to save it.

Delete a recording

Swipe left on a recording and choose Delete, or open its playback and tap the trash button. Confirm to remove the video from Glidecue, or Cancel to keep it. Copies already exported elsewhere are kept.

Purchase and refunds

Glidecue is free to download. Rehearsal, script editing, timed pauses, and all text controls are free without limits. Glidecue Pro is a one-time in-app purchase that unlocks recording, with no subscription. Tap Unlock recording in the script editor to see your local price. To restore your purchase, open the upgrade screen from the editor or library footer and choose Restore purchases using the same Apple Account. Apple handles payment and refund requests. Existing saved recordings remain available even without the upgrade.
